Located in the southern part of Bagmola and at a distance of approximately 18 km from Dabolim Airport, Majorda Beach enjoys close proximity with various popular tourist spots of Goa. Places such as Arossim, Ponda, Salcette, Benaulim, Velsao, Varca, Bogmala, etc. are only a few kilometers away. There are also a few beaches around it. Margo is only 5km away and Colva Beach only 5 km away.
This beach boasts of mesmerizing beauty. This calm beach is comparatively less crowded; offering its visitors with some time from hustle bustle of tourist places. Here you can spend a few peaceful moments in the company of mesmerizing nature.
Once on the Majorda Beach, you can spend a few tranquil moments by relaxing under the beach umbrellas and on pool chairs. This beach is perfect for a long walks. As this beach is comparatively less crowded you can go for long rejuvenating walks without any disturbance, here you can be away from the characteristic chaos of tourist places.
One can visit Mae De Deus Church, which was found in 1588 A.D. This church was rebuilt in the year of 1739; it was earlier destroyed in 1738. Every year the famous Goa Christmas Carnival is being hosted here at Majorda Beach attracting hordes of tourists.
The beach is popular for various activities as well. Swimming is especially popular. For the safety of the swimmers, there are many lifeguards on the beach. Other activities such as jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing, etc. are also popular. Another most popular attraction here is the Martin’s Corner which boasts of international recognition. Its owner Mrs Carfina has been awarded “The Life Time Achievement Award” at the International cuisine conference in 2007.
