Located in the Pernem taluka of North Goa, Ashwem beach is a beautiful stretch of 1.5 km, surrounded by other popular beaches of Goa. It is quite close to the famous Arambol beach. It enjoy proximity with other beaches as well, namely Mandrem Beach which is located towards its north and the Morjim beach, situated to its north.
Slightly rocky, Ashwem beach presents a sparkling stretch of white and golden sand along the side of palm trees. Beach shacks and huts, spread all over the beach, allow you to sit and relax with a drink or two along with the beauty of majestic Sea around you. This beach is perfect for those who are looking for a bit of seclusion. It offers serene calmness amidst the mesmerizing beauty of nature.
This beach is popular amongst locals who often come here for family picnics. Here at the beach, swimming is quite popular, although there are various facilities for trying other water sports as well.
Although not particularly known for its nightlife, the parties here during Christmas Eve and New Year do attract many tourists. When at Ashvem, the popular French restaurant ‘La Plage’ is something not to be missed.
Tourists will find both - luxurious resorts as well as basic huts and tree houses at Ashwem. Cidade de Goa Beach Resort and Taj Exotica Goa are two of the popular accommodations. The best time to plan your visit from the month of September to March. It is also popular as monsoon destination.
